OSL Regional Gryphons drop NK Livno

GRIMSBY — The Guelph Gryphons connected for a 3-1 victory over NK Livno in Ontario Soccer League Regional play Tuesday at Southward Park.

Jayden Macchione hit for two goals for the Gryphons while Alberto Martinez had the other goal.

Mohamad Chkeir collected the lone goal for NK Livno.

The win was the second in a row for the Gryphons and leaves them at 2-2-1 while NK Livno falls to 1-3-0.

The game is the first of two this week for the Gryphons as they are slated to host Futsal Club Toronto (1-2-1) Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the Centennial Bowl.

The Gryphons have two games remaining after that one as they are to play the Clarkson Comets (3-1-0) at Clarkson Sept. 16 and host the Queens Park Rangers (2-2-1) at the Centennial Bowl Sept. 18 at 4 p.m.
