Patriots on short end of another 3-2 decision
MOUNT FOREST – The Mount Forest Patriots suffered their second consecutive 3-2 loss on home ice as they were edged by the Mitchell Hawks in Provincial Junior Hockey League play Friday night at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex.
Mitchell struck for the winning goal with 8:33 to go in regulation time.

The Patriots had lost 3-2 to the Hanover Barons at home last Saturday.
Friday, the teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the first period before Mitchell scored the lone goal of the second. Mount Forest pulled even in the third period, just under two minutes before Mitchell’s winning goal.
Derrick Cornfield and Benjamin Demore scored for Mount Forest while Hayden Coulter, Demoe, Matthew Weiler and Darcy Winkler each had an assist.
Charlie Rankin, Mark Cassidy and Patrick Holloway tallied for Mitchell while Malcolm Mcleod, Callan Ferguson, Sean Chisholm, Seth Huygen and Carter Lewis each had an assist.
Winning netminder Bradley Boville had 38 saves for Mitchell while Michael Brassor had 43 saves for Mount Forest.
Mitchell leads the Pollock Division at 13-2-1-0 while Mount Forest is fourth at 9-6-0-1.
The Patriots are to host the Goderich Flyers (seventh at 0-16-0-0) Saturday at 8 p.m.
