Raiders edge Eagles to create tie for fourth in senior volleyball
ERIN – The Erin Raiders moved into a three-way tie for fourth in the District 4 high school senior girls’ volleyball league by edging the Emmanuel Christian Eagles 3-2 Wednesday.
The Raiders dropped the first two sets before bouncing back to win 20-25, 17-25, 25-14, 25-19, 15-12.
In another league match, the Norwell Varsity Reds swept the Centre Dufferin Eagles 3-0, winning 25-10, 25-11, 25-9.
Norwell leads the league at 7-1 and is followed by the Westside Thunder at 6-1, Wellington Heights Wolverines at 4-3 and Centre Dufferin, Emmanuel Christian and Erin each at 2-6.
