Rescheduled games give Royals a busy week

GUELPH – The Guelph Royals are scheduled to have a busy week to complete the 100th Intercounty Baseball League regular season thanks to rescheduled games.

Monday, the Royals rescheduled their game against the London Majors at London’s Labatt Park that was postponed last Friday. It’s now set for Thursday beginning at 7:35 p.m.

That gives the Royals four games this week starting with a match against the Burlington Herd Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.

They’re also to play the Kitchener Panthers at Kitchener’s Jack Couch Park Friday at 7:30 p.m. and host the Barrie Baycats Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Hastings Stadium.

Barrie leads the league at 24-8 heading into what should be the final week of the regular season. They’re followed by Kitchener at 23-10, London at 18-13, the Hamilton Cardinals and Toronto Maple Leafs both at 14-19, the Royals at 13-19, Brantford Red Sox at 12-19 and Burlington at 11-22.
