
Rocks drop Plattsville with three goals a period
ELORA – The Elora Rocks scored three times in each period as they dropped the Plattsville Lakers 9-4 in WOSHL play Friday night at the Elora and District Community Centre.
The Rocks led 3-2 at the end of the first period and 6-3 after the second.

The win followed a pair of losses by the Rocks who had also lost three of their previous four games. Their previous win was a 9-3 triumph over the Lakers at home Nov. 25.
Chad Herron, Joey Heath and Brett McInall had two goals apiece for Elora while Spencer Gourlay, Zack Cameron and Matteo Condotta each had one goal. McInall also had three assists while Andrew Brubacher, HerronHeath, Condotta, Tye Campbell and Alex Uttley had two assists apiece. Gourlay and Cameron had one each.
Damian Caringi tallied twice for Plattsville while Devon Rymarchuk and Brady Schmidt each had a goal. Hunter Dubecki had two assists while Rymarchuk, Caringi and Bradley Watson each had one.
Elora outshot Plattsville 42-35 and the Rocks went 1-for-3 on their power play while the Lakers went 2-for-4 on their power play.
Colin Dunne had 31 saves for the Rocks while Devyn Clark had 33 for Plattsville.
The Rocks move to second in the league standings at 9-3-0-1 while Tilbury Bluebirds lead at 10-2-0-0. Plattsville is sixth at 4-10-0-0.
The Rocks are to host the Strathroy Jets (7-7-0-0) Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the Elora and District Community Centre.
