Rocks fall to Milverton in overtime, WOAA A final tied

MILVERTON – The Elora Rocks and Milverton Four-Wheel Drives are all tied up after the Drives scored a 3-2 victory in overtime Sunday night in Game 2 of the best-of-seven Western Ontario Athletic Association senior men’s hockey league’s A championship series at the Milverton arena.

The teams had been scoreless in the first period and Milverton took a 2-1 lead in the second. Brock West’s goal for Elora with 8:20 to go in the third tied the score and sent the game to OT.

Lyam Cripps had scored in the second for the Rocks.

Brent Freeman and Brodie Muckler scored in the second for Milverton while Evan Buehler added the winner at 6:18 of extra time.

Game 3 is set for Friday at the Elora and District Community Centre. Game time is 8:30 p.m.
