Ross, Centennial record shutout victories
GUELPH – The Ross Royals and Centennial Spartans both posted shutout victories in District 10 high school girls’ hockey play Monday.
The Royals scored four times in the first period on their way to a 7-0 victory over the St. James Lions at the Victoria Road arena while the other game was scoreless until the Spartans tallied in the final minute of the second period in a 4-0 win over the Guelph CVI Green Gaels at Centennial arena.

The Royals also scored twice in the second and once in the third.
Caroline Ross netted a hat trick while Keegan Camp had two goals and an assist. Lauren Brulotte and Courtney Phillips each had a goal and an assist and Avery Lomax, Emily Knight and Taylor Doyle each collected one assist.
Sarah Walker was credited with the shutout.
Centennial 4 Guelph CVI 0
The Spartans scored their other three goals in the third.
Hannah Lawler had a goal and an assist while Lia Reynolds, Rachael Douglas and Gabby Durst each fired the puck home for a goal. Getting one assist each were Megan Rowbotham, Kaitlin Reimer and Cate MacLeod.
Kassi Hogan picked up the shutout.
