Ross Royals finish baseball regular season unbeaten

GUELPH – The Ross Royals completed an undefeated regular season in District 4/10 high school baseball with a victory over the St. James Lions Thursday.

The Royals handed the Lions a 7-5 setback.

Ross finishes atop the standings with six wins in six outings. The Centennial Spartans finish second at 4-1-1 and are followed by St. James (3-2-1), Lourdes Crusaders (3-3-0), Bishop Macdonell Celtics (2-2-2), Guelph CVI Green Gaels (1-5-0) and Westside Thunder (0-6-0).

By finishing first, Ross gets a bye in Wednesday’s quarter-finals. The other six teams are to compete in 3:30 p.m. games at Pearson Park.
