Ross Royals keep unbeaten mark in girls’ hockey

GUELPH – The Ross Royals remained undefeated in District 10 high school girls’ hockey play Tuesday as they downed the Guelph CVI Green Gaels 8-3 at Exhibition arena.

Ross received goals from Olivia Smith, Lauren Brulotte and Olivia Sarabura.

Damara Marshall had two goals for GCVI while Ellie teNyenhuis scored the other one.

The Royals (4-0-0-0) and Bishop Macdonell Celtics (4-2-0-0) are tied for second in the league that’s led by the Centre Wellington Falcons (5-0-0-0). GCVI (0-6-1-0) is tied for sixth with the St. James Lions (0-4-1-0).

The Royals and Falcons are to meet Thursday at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex in Fergus.
