Ross Royals rugby girls seeded second at OFSAA

GUELPH – The Ross Royals are seeded second for next week’s 16-team OFSAA provincial high school AAA girls’ rugby championship tournament at Courtice.

The defending champion Oakville Trafalgar Red Devils are the top seeds.

Also in the tournament are third-seed Glebe Gryphons of Ottawa, fourth-seed Stouffville Spartans, fifth-seed Mayfield Mavericks of Caledon, sixth-seed Pickering Trojans, seventh-seed Uxbridge Tigers, eighth-seed Nantyr Shores Tritons of Innisfil, ninth-seed Blessed Cardinal Newman Knights of Scarborough, 10th-seed Ursuline College Lancers of Chatham, 11th-seed Northern Red Knights of Toronto, 12th-seed Parkside Stampeders of St. Thomas, 13th-seed I.E. Weldon Wildcats of Lindsay, 14th-seed Jean Vanier Knights of Milton, 15th-seed Blessed Trinity Thunder of Grimsby and 16th-seed Regiopolis-Notre Dame Panthers of Kingston.

Ross is to play Blessed Trinity in their tournament opener Monday at 11:30 a.m. at South Courtice arena.

The remainder of their schedule depends on their results.
