Ross Royals stretch their lead atop boys’ hockey loop

MOUNT FOREST – The Ross Royals stretched their lead atop the District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey league standings with a 5-2 victory over the Wellington Heights Wolverines Tuesday at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex.

The Royals received single goals from Jackson Phillips, Adam Nightingale, Callum Snedden, Dylan Hudon and Carter Phillips. Adam Best and Connor Snedden each had two assists while Hudon had one.

Mason Eurig and Evan Dewar scored for Wellington Heights.

Ross leads the league at 9-1-0-0 while Centre Wellington is second at 7-1-1-1.

The Royals and Falcons are to play at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex in Fergus Thursday at 3 p.m.

Wellington Heights is fifth at 5-4-0-1.


Norwell 7 Centennial 1

Cohen McIsaac and Caleb Cribbin each scored twice for Norwell while single goals were added by Ben MacRobbie, Tyler Franklin and Caleb Carere.

Chris Bengert had the goal for Centennial.

Norwell is third at 5-1-2-1 while Centennial is eighth at 0-10-0-0.


Orangeville 5 Guelph CVI 0

Orangeville is fourth at 5-2-1-1 and GCVI is seventh at 2-8-0-0.
