Ross Royals sweep senior/junior rugby doubleheader

GUELPH – The Ross Royals claimed another shutout victory in District 4/10 high school senior boys’ rugby play Wednesday at Ross as they blanked the Centre Wellington Falcons 55-0.

Isaac Misener scored three tries for the Royals while Ryan Auger had two tries and a convert while Charlie Thurtell had four converts.

Lourdes 28 Centennial 5

M. Wright had a try and four converts for Lourdes while G. Kerfoot, T. Azzopardi and B. Boys each had one try.

G. Alberdi had the try for Centennial.

Guelph CVI 20 Centre Dufferin 0

GCVI won as Centre Dufferin forfeited.

Junior Boys Rugby

Ross 45 Centre Wellington 10

Brandon and Adam scored two tries apiece for Ross while Nate also collected 10 points on five converts. Fenton, Joe and Landon each had one try. Surnames were not reported.

Scorers for Centre Wellington were not reported.

Guelph CVI 15 Centre Dufferin 5

Bryson Cook had three tries for GCVI.

Jake Henry had a try for Centre Dufferin.
