GUELPH – The Ross Royals and Bishop Macdonell Celtics will meet Friday night to decide the District 10 high school senior boys’ volleyball championship.

Wednesday, the two-time defending champion Royals edged the Guelph CVI Green Gaels 3-2 at Ross while the Celtics, last year’s junior champions, slipped by the Centennial Spartans 3-2 at Bishop Mac.

Centennial took the first set 29-26 while Bishop Mac responded with a 25-22 win in the second set. The third set went to the Spartans 25-19 and Bishop Mac squeezed out a 25-23 win in the fourth set and a 15-11 victory in the fifth set to move on.
