Royals, Celtics soccer girls remain unbeaten

GUELPH — The Ross Royals and Bishop Macdonell Celtics remained undefeated in District 10 high school girls’ soccer play Tuesday following the second of three mini-tournaments that comprise the league’s regular season.

Ross has won all five of its games as the Royals added a 2-0 win over the Guelph CVI Green Gaels and a 5-0 triumph over the Orangeville Bears.

Although Bishop Mac has not yielded a goal in league play this season, the Celtics have three wins and two ties. Tuesday, the Celtics blanked the Centre Wellington Falcons 3-0 and battled the Centennial Spartans to a scoreless draw.

The league is to complete its regular season with a mini-tournament at Orangeville Thursday.

Playoffs are set for next week.
