Royals, Spartans grab victories in girls’ soccer play

GUELPH – The Ross Royals and Centennial Spartans recorded victories in District 10 high school girls’ soccer Tuesday to grab positions in the league’s top three.

Ross slipped by the Guelph CVI Green Gaels at the Gryphon Soccer Complex while Centennial downed the Lourdes Crusaders at Lourdes.

The Spartans lead the league at 3-0-0 while the Bishop Macdonell Celtics are second at 2-0-1 and Ross is third at 2-1-0. They’re followed by the undefeated Centre Wellington Falcons who are at 1-0-2, the St. James Lions and Orangeville Bears who are both at 0-1-2, GCVI at 0-2-1 and Lourdes at 0-3-0.
