
Second win for Norwell in return to hoops play
ERIN – The Norwell Varsity Reds made it two wins in as many District 4 high school senior boys’ basketball outings this week when they posted a 56-48 victory over the Erin Raiders Wednesday.
For the Varsity Reds, this week’s play was their first in the league since the 2019-20 season. The 2020-21 season was cancelled due to the pandemic and Norwell opted out of last season’s shortened campaign.
J. George led the Varsity Reds with 23 points.
Myles Zappia hit for 16 for Erin while Robbie Pablo added 15.

Jayden Hayward connected for 12 points for Westside while Cameron Fradette followed with 10.
Peter Thalen and Evan Vanwoudenberg each had seven for Emmanuel Christian.

Tyson Horn netted 17 points for Westside while Jaberl Eyiah gathered 10.
Isaac Lodder and Craig VanGrootheest each collected 15 for Emmanuel Christian.

J. Gajadhar led Erin with 19 points while C. Bowers contributed 18 and J. Woolcock chipped in with 16.
J. McDougan had a game-high 24 for Wellington Heights while C. Troyer picked up nine.
