Single-stop regular season for D4 soccer girls

GUELPH — The District 4 high school girls’ soccer league played its entire regular season in a mini-tournament at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.

Due to a late start to the season while the refereeing details for the league were ironed out, it made the decision to cut its regular season to a single day.

The teams in the league were split into two divisions for round-robin pool play.

Placings in the divisions decide next week’s playoff pairings. Quarter-finals and semifinals are to go Monday at the Gryphon Soccer Complex while the final is scheduled for next Wednesday morning.
