Storm deals with Windsor for goaltender

GUELPH – The Guelph Storm made one more deal Thursday morning before the Ontario Hockey League’s noon trading deadline.

The Storm obtained the rights to goaltender Lucas Patton from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for the Guelph squad’s 12th-round pick in the 2020 OHL draft.

A 19-year-old from Waterloo, Patton had a 2-2-1 record in six games with a 3.24 goals-against average and .894 save percentage with Windsor last season.

Patton is playing with the Kitchener Dutchmen of the junior B Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League this season and he has an 11-10-1 record with two shutouts in 23 games. He has a 2.57 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.
