Storm home game against Erie Friday postponed
GUELPH – The Guelph Storm’s home game scheduled for Friday night at the Sleeman Centre has been postponed.
The Storm were to have played the Erie Otters, but 13 players on the Otters have tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result of the positive tests, the Otters have had to suspend operations. A game slated for Saturday at Erie against the Kitchener Rangers has also been postponed.
Saturday’s game was to have been followed by Erie’s Christmas break. They’re slated to return from that with a three-in-three with games in Hamilton against the Bulldogs Dec. 30, at home against the Storm on New Year’s Eve and at home against the London Knights on New Year’s Day.
The Storm’s next game is now Saturday’s tilt against the Knights at the Sleeman Centre. Game time is 2 p.m.
Their Christmas break is to follow and they’re to return with three games in four days – Dec. 30 at home against the Windsor Spitfires at 7 p.m., Dec. 31 at Erie at 6 p.m. and Jan. 2 at home against Kitchener at 2 p.m.
