Storm slips by London in overtime

GUELPH – Nate Schnarr’s power-play goal 21 seconds into overtime lifted the Guelph Storm to a 3-2 victory over the London Knights in Ontario Hockey League play Sunday at the Sleeman Centre.

Liam Foudy’s second goal of the game for London about seven and a half minutes into the third tied the score 2-2.

The teams had been tied 1-1 at the end of the first period and the Storm scored the only goal of the second.

Zach Poirier and Ryan Merkley had scored in regulation time for the Storm. Merkley was involved in all three goals for Guelph as he also had two assists while Cedric Ralph, Barret Kirwin, Mason Primeau and Isaac Ratcliffe each had one.

Both of Foudy’s goals for London were assisted by Billy Moskal while Matthew Timms and Cole Tymkin collected one assist apiece.
