Sunday setbacks for Gryphon lacrosse women
ST. CATHARINES – The Guelph Gryphons suffered a pair of losses in OUA women’s lacrosse play Sunday.
The Gryphs were topped 12-9 by the Brock Badgers and 21-8 by the Laurier Golden Hawks.
Scoring details were not available.
The Gryphs are winless in four outings as they were defeated 13-8 by the Queen’s Gaels and 16-6 by the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks (formerly UOIT Ridgebacks) during opening-day play at Kingston eight days earlier.
The locals are to continue with league play Saturday and Sunday at Waterloo. Saturday, the Gryphs are to play the York Lions at 8 a.m. and Trent Excalibur at 3 p.m. at Laurier’s Alumni Field and they’re to battle the Toronto Varsity Blues Sunday at 1:15 p.m. at Laurier’s University Stadium.
