Three more games added to Storm postponements

GUELPH – Three more Guelph Storm games have been postponed and one previously-postponed game has been rescheduled.

Storm games postponed due to COVID-19 protocol are Wednesday’s (tonight’s) game against the Windsor Spitfires at the Sleeman Centre, Friday’s game against the Owen Sound Attack at the Sleeman Centre and Saturday’s game against the Attack at Owen Sound.

The Storm’s game against the Erie Otters that was to have been played at the Sleeman Centre Dec. 17 has been rescheduled to March 13 at 7 p.m.

The three Storm games postponed this week were among seven the Ontario Hockey League postponed Wednesday. The others were Hamilton Bulldogs at Peterborough Petes Thursday, Friday’s games between the Niagara IceDogs and Hamilton at Hamilton and Ottawa 67’s at Oshawa Generals and Saturday’s game between Ottawa and Hamilton at Hamilton.

The Storm’s rescheduled game was one of 21 games back on the schedule on different days except for Saturday’s game between the North Bay Battalion and Barrie Colts at Barrie that had been postponed, but is now to be played on the original day and time.

The Storm haven’t played since Dec. 18. The postponements added Wednesday extend the team’s number of consecutive postponements to six and also made it seven postponements in eight scheduled games.

Next game on the Storm schedule that hasn’t been postponed is a Jan. 13 game against the Spitfires at Windsor’s WFCU Centre.
