Undefeated Westside runs to win in senior soccer

MOUNT FOREST – The Westside Thunder of Orangeville kept their unbeaten record as they ran to a 7-2 victory over the Wellington Heights Wolverines in District 4 high school senior boys’ soccer play Monday at Wellington Heights.

Diego Jesus scored four times for the Thunder while single goals were added by Everett Garcia, Rajuir Sadhra and Ryan Simu.

Scoring for Wellington Heights were Nate Carrierre and Ben Jordan.

Westside leads the league at 6-0-1 while the Erin Raiders are also undefeated and they sit in second at 5-0-2. Emmanuel Christian Eagles are third at 4-3-0, Centre Dufferin Royals are fourth at 2-4-1, Norwell Varsity Reds are fifth at 2-5-0 and Wellington Heights is sixth at 0-7-0.

Chris Cooke had two goals for Erin while Winter, Jace Medeiros and Braden Haddow had one apiece.

Scoring for the Eagles were Jude Endeman, Curtis Reinink and Joe Kottelenberg.
