Varsity Reds, Falcons remain unbeaten in boys hockey
GUELPH – The Norwell Varsity Reds and Centre Wellington Falcons remained unbeaten and stayed atop the District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey league with wins Thursday.
Norwell dropped the Centennial Spartans 8-2 at Centennial arena while Centre Wellington slipped by the Erin Raiders 4-1 at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.
In another game, the Ross Royals blanked the Guelph CVI Green Gaels 4-0 at the West End arena.
Norwell leads the league at 4-0-0-0 while Centre Wellington’s at 3-0-0-0. Erin fell to 3-1-0-0 and they’re followed by the Orangeville Bears at 2-1-0-0, Ross at 2-3-0-0, GCVI at 1-4-0-0, Centennial at 0-2-0-1 and the Bishop Macdonell Celtics at 0-3-0-0.

Isaiah Thornbuck struck for a pair of goals for Norwell while single goals were netted by Brodie Hoffele, Payton McIsaac, Cody Camm, Caleb Cribbin, Dylan Richardson and Parker Miller.
Jacob Wereley and Zach Snider scored for Centennial.
Centre Wellington 4 Erin 1
Ryan Mueller had a hat trick for Centre Wellington while Jonah White also scored.
Chris Ferri had the lone goal for Erin.
Ross 4 Guelph CVI 0
Calvin Fogler hit for two goals for Ross while Blaise Shaw and Patrick Nyman added single goals. The goalie who earned the shutout was not reported.
