Varsity Reds soccer girls connect for win over Wolverines

MOUNT FOREST – The Norwell Varsity Reds struck for a 4-1 victory over the Wellington Heights Wolverines in District 4 high school girls’ soccer play Monday at Wellington Heights.

Keely Franklin, Kathryn Giles, Reese Miller and Iris Nieuwland scored a goal apiece for the Varsity Reds.

Brielle VanVeen had the lone goal for the Wolverines.

A game scheduled between Emmanuel Christian Eagles and Westside Thunder was postponed.

Erin Raiders lead the league at 2-0-0 and are followed by Norwell at 1-1-1, Emmanuel Christian at 1-0-0, Westside at 0-1-1 and Wellington Heights at 0-2-0.
