Varsity Reds win to open D4 senior boys’ soccer campaign

PALMERSTON – The Norwell Varsity Reds begin their District 4 high school senior boys’ soccer league season by doubling the Wellington Heights Wolverines 4-2 Monday at the Palmerston arena fields.

Dineen had a hat trick for the Varsity Reds.

The other scorers were not reported.

The other four teams in the league (Emmanuel Christian, Erin, Centre Dufferin and Westside) are to get their starts Wednesday.

The junior league is a two-team affair with Erin and Centre Dufferin competing.

The league’s season is to consist of two games – Sept. 21 at Erin and Oct. 12 at Centre Dufferin.
