Westside grabs second in senior hoops with win over Norwell

ORANGEVILLE – The Westside Thunder struck for a 61-48 victory over the Norwell Varsity Reds in District 4 high school senior boys’ basketball play Tuesday at Westside.

Cameron Fradette connected for a game-high 18 points for Westside while Dylan Hollett added 13.

Jake George led Norwell with 13 points while T. Newton had eight.

The game was the final regular-season match for Norwell while the league’s four other teams are to complete their regular seasons Wednesday.

While there are games to go in the regular season, all are secure in their final positions as the Centre Dufferin Royals (7-0) will finish first, Westside (5-2) second, Erin is third at 3-4, a position in which they’ll finish. Emmanuel Christian is fifth at 1-6

The semifinals are to be played Monday while the final is scheduled to be played next Wednesday at the home of highest-ranked semifinal winner.
