Wolverines move into tie for third in senior hoops with Eagles, Raiders
FERGUS – The Wellington Heights Wolverines created a three-way tie for third in the District 4 high school senior girls’ basketball league when they slipped by the Emmanuel Christian Eagles 38-35 Wednesday.
While the Westside Thunder and Centre Dufferin Royals also won Wednesday to keep pace with one another atop the league at 3-1, Wellington Heights moved into a tie with Emmanuel Christian and the Erin Raiders each at 2-2. The Norwell Varsity Reds trail at 0-4.

Haven LeBlanc connected for 16 points for Wellington Heights while Marissa Cottingham had 10.
Janelle Vanleeuwen collected 14 for Emmanuel Christian and Arielle Swaving followed with nine.

Shannon Bury’s 16 points led Centre Dufferin while Kayla Skorski had six.
Kyla Warren netted four for Erin.

Maddie Eisner and Emma Dwyer each had six for Erin.
