Wright 39th in Astana World Cup triathlon
ASTANA, Kazakhstan – Matthew Wright of Barbados, a member of the Guelph Triathlon Project, finished the Astana ITU Triathlon World Cup in 39th in the elite men’s class.
Wright finished with a time of 1:40:44 while Dmitry Polyansky of Russia had a winning time of 1:36:50.
Wright recovered from a slow swim with the seventh-fastest time in the first transition. He was 14th-fastest on the bike and 42nd-fastest on the run.
