Bishop Mac all alone with perfect record in girls’ soccer

The Bishop Macdonell Celtics stand as the lone District 10 high school girls’ soccer squad with an unblemished record following a 6-3 victory over the Centennial Spartans Tuesday at the University of Guelph’s Varsity Field.

The win was the third in as many outings for the Celtics while it was Centennial’s first setback following a pair of wins on opening day last week.

Harlowe Ho and Izabelle Peverley struck for two goals apiece for Bishop Mac while Kya Jacobs and Adrienne Fraser added single goals.

Scoring for Centennial were Sam Caputo, Elise Evans and Kiara Harris.

 

Centre Wellington 10 Lourdes 0

Maija Poulter had a hat trick for Centre Wellington while Rowan Mulder, Taylore Hogenhout and Kylee Pringle tallied twice apiece. Arielle Merry had the other goal.

The win was the first for Centre Wellington this season following a pair of losses last week while it was the third loss for Lourdes.

 

Ross 5 St. James 1

Brook Hoger and Ava Hunyady scored twice apiece for Ross while Arofe Sudiku netted a single goal.

Elizabeth Brady scored for St. James.

Ross remained unbeaten after having started with a win and a tie last week.

The loss was the first for St. James as the Lions now have a win, a loss and a tie.

 

Guelph CVI 1 Orangeville 1

Samantha S.C. scored the goal for GCVI and Emily W. connected for the goal for Orangeville.

The two teams have identical 0-1-2 records.
