Bishop Mac, Ross open senior soccer season with wins

GUELPH – The Bishop Macdonell Celtics and Ross Royals were the lone two teams to score victories on the opening day of the District 10 high school boys’ soccer season Tuesday.

The league is the D10 league with the most parity as all eight teams have won the championship at least once in the last 13 seasons and five of them have hoisted the championship plaque at least once in the last six seasons.

Centennial 1 Centre Wellington 1

Logan Lonton scored the goal for Centennial.

Centre Wellington’s goal was scored by Timi Banjo.

 

Ross 1 Lourdes 0

Kai Chin scored the lone goal of the game.

 

St. James 2 Guelph CVI 2

Babol collected both goals for St. James.

Ladhani and Zettel scored for GCVI.

GCVI received four goals from Sepehr, two from Mazzotta and one from Hughes.
