Centennial Spartans all alone atop senior hoops standings
ORANGEVILLE – The Centennial Spartans stand all alone atop the District 10 high school senior girls’ basketball standings following a 62-46 victory over the previously-unbeaten Orangeville Bears Tuesday.
Jenna Davey led the Spartans with 20 points while Ayla Corrigale had a game-high 22 for Orangeville as the league hit the midway point of its regular season.
Centennial’s at 7-0 while Orangeville is second at 6-1. They’re followed by the Guelph CVI Green Gaels at 5-2, Ross Royals at 4-3, Bishop Macdonell Celtics at 3-4, Lourdes Crusaders at 2-5, St. James Lions at 1-6 and Centre Wellington Falcons at 0-7.

Sam Aljoe and Jasmine Liban connected for 11 points apiece for GCVI.
Talya Kridli had 24 for Bishop Mac.
Lourdes 46 Centre Wellington 36
Ciara Hayne struck for 17 points for Lourdes while McKenna Codrington netted 12.
Natalie Abra had 17 for Centre Wellington.
Ross 55 St. James 38
Ross was led by Abby Blashuk with 16 points while Sam Tesfit Ezra gathered 15.
Arielle Balmelero had 24 for St. James while Sam G. Chipped in with six.
Junior Girls’ Basketball
Bishop Mac leads the junior standings at 7-0 at the regular season’s midpoint while Ross is at 6-1, GCVI’s at 5-2, Centre Wellington’s at 4-3, St. James is at 3-4, Centennial’s at 2-5, Lourdes is at 1-6 and Orangeville’s at 0-7.

Camryn Stam hit for 10 points for Centennial while Addison Pellizzari contributed five.
Walker had seven for Orangeville and Rocha added six.
Ross 68 St. James 32
Alex Blashuk netted 22 points for Ross while Sienna Monk and Rachael Van Milligan each had 16.
Lewis had 14 for St. James and McLellan collected eight.
Centre Wellington 35 Lourdes 16
Sydney Sellers had 13 points for Centre Wellington while Maggie Long hit for 10.
Jwokmeer Omot had a game-high 16 for Lourdes.
