Centennial win creates three-way tie atop senior volleyball
GUELPH – There’s no longer any unbeaten teams in the District 10 high school senior boys’ volleyball league.
The Lourdes Crusaders suffered their first loss in league play when they were handed a 3-1 defeat by the Centennial Spartans Thursday.
That result combined with a 3-1 win by the Ross Royals over the Guelph CVI Green Gaels created a three-way tie for first place in the eight-team league. Centennial, Lourdes and Ross are all at 5-1 while GCVI and the Centre Wellington Falcons are both at 3-3. They’re followed by St. James Lions at 2-4, Bishop Macdonell Celtics at 1-5 and Orangeville Bears at 0-6.
