Centre Dufferin returns to boys’ hockey with OT win

SHELBURNE – Callum Stevenson hit for the winning goal as Centre Dufferin Royals edged Erin Raiders 3-2 in overtime in the District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey season opener for both teams.

The OT winner was Stevenson’s second goal of the game while Ayrton Pomeroy scored the other goal.

Braeden Haddow scored both goals for Erin.

The league is operating with nine teams this season, up one from last season with Centre Dufferin rejoining the mix. The Royals are back for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
