Centre Dufferin sweeps senior volleyball regular season

ORANGEVILLE – The Centre Dufferin Royals completed an unbeaten run through the District 4 high school senior boys’ volleyball league’s regular season as they won a pair of matches Wednesday.

The Royals edged the host Thunder 2-1 and blanked the Wellington Heights Wolverines 3-0.

Centre Dufferin finished the day at 10-0 and owners of top spot in the six-team league’s standings.

Emmanuel Christian Eagles suffered a pair of 2-1 losses Wednesday to finish their regular season at 5-5.

The other four teams in the division still have three matches apiece to be played Monday at Wellington Heights in Mount Forest.

Westside and the Wellington Heights Wolverines are both at 4-3 while the Erin Raiders are at 1-6 and the Norwell Varsity Reds are at 0-7.
