Creeks split 2-1 games at provincial elimination tournament
ST. MARYS – The Guelph Silvercreeks split a pair of games Friday on the opening day of Baseball Ontario’s 22U elimination tournament.
Both games ended with 2-1 scores.
The Creeks were edged by Tecumseh in their tournament opener at the Hall of Fame Field in St. Marys in the morning.
They rebounded from that setback with a victory over Oshawa at the Field of Dreams park Friday afternoon.
Details were not available from either game.
The Creeks are to play Scarborough Saturday at 1 p.m. at Royal Field in Dorchester.
If they win that game, the Creeks are to advance to a 7 p.m. game on the same field against the winner of a match between Waterloo and Kitchener.
A loss to Scarborough will bring the Creeks’ tournament to an end.
