Orangeville 6 St. James 2

Monday, the Orangeville Bears collected their first win of the season with the game at the Victoria Road arena.

Eden Gaving had a hat trick for Orangeville while Ailsa Bogan and Mackenzie Mills scored once apiece. The other scorer wasn’t reported.

Teighan McDonald connected for both goals for St. James.

The win was Orangeville’s first since a semifinal victory Feb. 11, 2015. They lost in the final the following week and then went 0-21-1 in the next two seasons, including two quarter-final playoff losses, before withdrawing from the league.

Orangeville returned to league play this season for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
