Eagles soar into tie for second in D4 senior hoops

FERGUS – The Emmanuel Christian Eagles moved into a tie for second place in the District 4 high school senior girls’ basketball league Monday after they dropped the Wellington Heights Wolverines.

The Eagles downed the Wolverines 58-15.

Tiffany led Emmanuel Christian with 24 points while Henrietta had 14.

Brielle had six for Wellington Heights.

Westside Thunder leads the league at 3-0 while Emmanuel Christian and Centre Dufferin both have 2-1 records. Erin Raiders are at 1-1 while Wellington Heights is at 0-2 and Norwell Varsity Reds are at 0-3.

Centre Dufferin 36 Erin 20

A. Valade led Centre Dufferin with 12 points while P. Caston followed with 10.

L. Williams had eight for Erin and O. Foreman netted seven.
