Eagles take three senior volleyball matches on their own court
FERGUS – Emmanuel Christian Eagles won a trio of matches on their own court Wednesday to move into second in the six-team District 4 high school senior boys’ volleyball league’s standings.
Centre Dufferin Royals lead the league at 7-1 while the Eagles are the runners-up at 6-3. Wellington Heights Wolverines and Westside Thunder are tied at 4-2 while Erin Raiders are at 1-6 and Norwell Varsity Reds follow at 0-8.
Wednesday, the Eagles defeated Centre Dufferin, Erin and Norwell. Scores from two matches were not reported, none involving the Eagles.
The league has two regular-season mini tournaments to go as teams are to meet next Wednesday at Westside in Orangeville and Oct. 30 at Wellington Heights in Mount Forest.
