
Gryphon lacrosse women split pair of matches in London
LONDON – The Guelph Gryphons split a pair of games in OUA women’s field lacrosse play at Western’s Mustangs Field Saturday.
The Gryphs downed the Brock Badgers 11-5, but lost 15-4 to the host Mustangs.
Western leads the division at 6-0 while the Laurier Golden Hawks are at 4-2, Gryphs are at 3-3, McMaster Marauders are at 2-4 and Brock is at 0-6.
Queen’s Gaels lead the East Division at 6-0 and are followed by the Trent Excalibur (4-2), Ontario Tech Ridgebacks (1-5) and Toronto Varsity Blues (1-5).
The Gryphs have four games left on their regular-season schedule, all against East Division teams.
They’re to play Ontario Tech and Toronto at Oshawa Oct. 15 and Queen’s and Trent at North Bay Oct. 22.
