Gryphon volleyball men go 3-2 in preseason tournament

EDMONTON – The Guelph Gryphons finished the FOG Preseason Men’s Volleyball Classic with three wins and two losses.

The Gryphs defeated the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Ooks 3-2 and Calgary Dinos 3-2 Friday.

They split a pair of matches Saturday, beating the Alberta Golden Bears 3-2 after falling 3-1 to the King’s University Eagles.

The Gryphs had lost 3-1 to the Mount Royal Cougars Thursday.

Next on the schedule for the Gryphs is their OUA season opener against the Waterloo Warriors. They’re to play at Waterloo’s Carl Totzke Court Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 4 at 4 p.m.
