Gryphon volleyball women win four matches in Ottawa tourney

OTTAWA – The Guelph Gryphons collected four wins in the Ottawa Gee-Gees Women’s Volleyball Preseason Classic on the weekend.

The Gryphs edged the host Gee-Gees 2-1 and the Dalhousie Tigers 2-1 Friday.

Saturday, they defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 2-0, but lost 2-1 to the UQAM Citadins.

They rebounded Sunday with a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Carabins.

Next outing for the Gryphs is to be an exhibition match with the Western Mustangs Oct. 13 at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre. Game time is 7 p.m.
