Guelph Redcoats Women Firsts get lone win by hosts

GUELPH – Guelph Redcoats Women Firsts were the lone host squad to post a win in Saturday’s four rugby matches at the Guelph Lake Sports Fields.

The Redcoats claimed a 33-10 win over the Peterborough Pagans in Ontario Women’s League Firsts play.

The Guelph squad remained undefeated at 3-0-0 as they scored six tries in the match to two for winless Peterborough (0-3-0).

The Redcoats are to host Scarborough RFC (1-2-0) Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

 

OWL Seconds

The Redcoats were handed a 49-31 setback by the Peterborough Pagans.

Peterborough struck for nine tries in the match while the Redcoats had five.

The result leaves Peterborough at 2-1-0 and the Redcoats at 0-3-0.

The Redcoats are to host Scarborough RFC (2-1-0) Saturday at 11 a.m.

 

Marshall Men Firsts

The Redcoats were downed 43-7 by unbeaten Waterloo County.

Waterloo County scored its third win in as Marshall Division Firsts outings by scoring seven tries and holding the Redcoats to a single try.

The locals are 1-2-0 and are to host the Vaughan Yeomen (0-3-0) Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

 

Marshall Men Seconds

The Redcoats were handed a 59-14 setback by Waterloo County in Marshall Division Seconds play.

Waterloo County (2-1-0) collected nine tries in the game while the Redcoats (0-3-0) had two.

The Redcoats are to play the Vaughan Yeomen (0-3-0) Saturday at 2 p.m.
