Guelph Regals clobber Point Edward in home match

Guelph Regals struck for six goals in each of the first two periods as they downed the Point Edward Pacers 15-4 Friday in Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League play at the Victoria Road arena.

The Regals outscored Point Edward 6-2 in each of the first two periods and 2-0 in the third.

Dylan Davey had three goals and four assists for the Regals while Brett Vince had two goals and four assists. Tyler Beecraft and Ben Morton each had two goals and an assist while single goals were added by Dylan Goddard, Sam Savery, Logan Reyes, Darcy Rybinski, Graeme Crowder and Caelan Brady. Rybinski and Crowder each had two assists while Goddard, Beecraft, Savery, Marcus Visentin, Morton, Dallon Evans and Reid MacDonald each had one assist.

Zachary Snider scored twice for Point Edward and Bo Doxctator and Kaia Pierce each had one goal.

The Regals outshot the Pacers 67-36.

Anthony Fonte had 15 saves for Guelph in the first half of the game while Connor Waller had 17 in the second half. Austin Dalgety had 52 in the game for Point Edward.

The Regals had one power-play goal while all four goals for Point Edward were scored on power plays.
