Guelph Regals rally in third to top Six Nations

The Guelph Regals scored four unanswered goals in the third period as they rallied to defeat the Six Nations Rebels 9-7 in Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League play Friday at Hagersville’s Iroquois Lacrosse Arena.

The Regals led 2-1 at the end of the first period, but trailed 7-5 at the end of the second. They won the match with two goals 47 seconds apart in the final two minutes of the third period.

Brett Vince had a hat trick for the Regals while Dylan Goddard scored twice. Firing in single goals were Sam Savery, Logan Reyes, Marcus Visentin and Darcy Rybinski. Dylan Davey set up five goals while Graeme Crowder had two assists and Goddard, Vince, Savery and Ben Morton each had one.

Joe Connelly Squire and Kariwandro Squire netted two goals apiece for Six Nations while Will Rowe, Tray Miller and Dalen Burning had single goals.

Shots on net were not reported.

Anthony Fonte was in net for Guelph.
