Guelph Royals provincial elite men take opening match

Guelph Royals opened their Ontario Soccer League provincial elite play Thursday with a 4-1 victory over Vaughan Azzurri at North Maple Regional Park.

Niklas Bauer had a hat trick for the Royals while Maik Schoonderwoerd had the other goal.

Gabriel Poles had the goal for Vaughan.
