Guelph Storm grab 6-2 win over Kingston Frontenacs

GUELPH – The Guelph Storm struck for four goals in the first period to head on their way to a 6-2 victory over the Kingston Frontenacs in Ontario Hockey League play Saturday night at the Sleeman Centre.

All eight goals in the game were scored at the same end of the rink as the Storm led 4-0 at the end of the first period and 4-2 after the second.

Vilmer Alriksson, Jake Karabela, Charlie Paquette, Leo Serlin, Max Namestnikov and Gavin Grundner each had a goal for the Storm while Jett Luchanko assisted on two of the goals. Getting one assist each were Paquette, Brayden Hislop, Michael Buchinger, Chandler Romeo and Braeden Bowman.

Paul Ludwinski and Jacob Battaglia responded with single goals for Kingston while Christopher Thibodeau assisted on both goals and Battaglia and Cal Uens each had one assist.

The result leaves the Storm at 6-2-0-0.

Guelph is to play the Oshawa Generals (4-5-0-0) at Oshawa’s Tribute Communities Centre Sunday at 6 p.m.
