Guelph Union drops home opener to NDC-Ontario

GUELPH – Guelph Union surrendered goals in the first and last four minutes of the match as they were handed a 2-0 setback by National Development Centre-Ontario in League1 Ontario Women’s Premier soccer play Friday night.

The game was Union’s home opener and their only league game to be played at the Gryphon Soccer Complex this season. The remainder of their home games are to be played at the Centennial Bowl.

Jadea Collin scored in the third minute for NDC-Ontario while Rosa Maalouf added the other goal with one minute to go before stoppage time was added on.

Noelle Henning picked up the win in net for NDC-Ontario while Libby Brenneman was in net for Union.

Union drops to 1-3-0 with the loss while NDC-Ontario leads the league at 5-0-0.

Union is to host Unionville Milliken SC at the Centennial Bowl May 23. Game time is 7 p.m.
