Guelph United L2 men in standoff with Scrosoppi FC

Guelph United surrendered a pair of goals late in the second half as they settled for a 2-2 standoff with Scrosoppi FC in League1 Ontario League 2 men’s soccer play Thursday at The Hill Academy in Caledon.

United scored the first two goals of the game as Michael Andoga tallied in the sixth minute and Gregor McKeon added the second goal in the 47th minute.

Michael Mancuso scored both goals for Scrosoppi, the first one coming in the 73rd minute and the second one a minute into stoppage time.

United players were shown the yellow card six times, twice as many as shown to Scrosoppi players.

The teams are tied for first in the Southwest Division with identical 2-0-1 (W-L-T) records.

Next up for United is a game against FC London (1-1-1) Wednesday at 9 p.m. at Eastview Park.
