Guelph United Premier Women slip by Woodbridge Strikers
Olivia Rizakos of Guelph United scored a pair of goals five minutes apart early in the second half to edge the Woodbridge Strikers 3-2 in League1 Ontario Women’s Premier soccer play Wednesday at Centennial Bowl.
United never trailed in the game and the teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the first half.
Olivia Brown opened the scoring for United in the 18th minute.
Cat Rogers pulled Woodbridge even 20 minutes later.
The two goals by Rizakos put United ahead for good early in the second half.
Woodbridge’s other goal scored by Aaliyah Kamdar five minutes into second-half stoppage time.
